Over the past 10 years, my mother was able to enjoy her independence which she valued so much.  She participated in the many activities available at Paramount while enjoying the company of the other residents.  She grew to love the staff and considered them a part of her “extended family.”  It gave me great satisfaction knowing my mother was enjoying her life in a safe and caring environment. “I came to Paramount from a rehabilitation hospital because of a cracked left elbow which required the left arm to be in a sling for about 3 or 4 more weeks.  My plan was to stay in Paramount until I was rid of the sling and had enough arm motion to allow me to return to my home and take care of myself. In the meantime, I was enjoying my stay at Paramount….three good meals a day….regular entertainment…and good service with my personal needs.  I began thinking that at my age, 85, if I went home it might not be long before I might be looking for a similar place in which to move.
